Rev. Dr. Huckle Choi

Prior to serving as Senior Pastor at Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church, Rev. Choi served at three other churches in Ontario of different denominations. Rev. Choi is a Spiritual Director and a qualified MBTI Practitioner. His Doctoral thesis is entitled "Spiritual Fitness Clinic: An Innovative Approach to Spiritual Direction in the Postmodern Era." He volunteered as an on-call Chaplain at York Central Hospital.

Rev. Choi enjoys reading and listening to music. Rev. Choi and his wife Belinda have three daughters.


Dr. Wing-Hung Lam

Dr. Lam is the teaching pastor of Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church. He has been teaching in the Chinese Ministry program at Tyndale Seminary since 1990 as Research Professor of Church History and Chinese Studies. Before that, Dr. Lam taught Church History and Theology for 12 years at China Graduate School of Theology, Hong Kong. During that period he was visiting professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, Regent College and Tyndale Seminary. His publications, in addition to various journal articles and numerous sermon collections, include several books on historical theology and Chinese studies. "A Half Century of Chinese Theology", 1900-1949, is an interpretation of Chinese Christianity during a period that lays the foundation of the worldwide Chinese church today. His most recent book on medieval theology is the second volume in a series entitled "Christian Theology in Development".


Pastor Daisy Pun

Daisy is a graduate of Tyndale Seminary with Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) majoring in Christian Education (2004). Prior to becoming a Pastor, Daisy worked with Special Needs of various ages within the Peel and Halton Districts. She is called as a Pastor of the Special Needs and Cantonese Ministry. She has a heart to share the Gospel with the Special Needs (individuals that are mentally and/or physically challenged). She is passionate about serving mature Cantonese adults and overseeing the care and outreach for the Chinese Community. She possesses leadership skills to assist in the pastoral care, discipleship training, counseling and spiritual nurturing for the Special Needs and Cantonese mature adults. She is married to Ken. They have two daughters and a son.


Pastor Bernie Chan

Bernie graduated from Tyndale Seminary with a Master of Divinity, majoring in Pastoral and Chinese Ministry. Bernie believes that God allows us to experience both the good and the bad moments in our lives so as to understand Him. Our lives will then be shaped to reflect His character and draw people around to seek Him. Bernie is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the five functions in various Cantonese Fellowships, including Daniel, Jireh and Joshua Fellowship.


Mrs. Jacklyn Caveden

Prior to serving as a Children Ministry Intern at Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church, Jacklyn served at two other Baptist churches in Ontario and another in Brazil. Growing up as a PK (Pastor’s Kid) and Missionary Child Jacklyn was highly involved with cross-cultural ministries. Jacklyn is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and Business Administration. She has a passion for Christian Education and for Children Ministry in a growing and changing world. Jacklyn is newly married to her husband Fernando.


Pastor Kenneth Foo

Ken lives in Mississauga with his wife Ann and their three girls (who share a common middle name “Trinity” – how telling that there would be three girls). He has spent a number of years serving in the Chinese Baptist Church community with a deep-rooted passion in worship, justice, mission and outreach. Pastor Foo has also served at the Matthew House (a home for refugees), Yonge Street Mission: Evergreen (serving street youth) and Youth Summer Mission Project - Arizona (serving the Navajo tribe).

Ken enjoys reading, playing tea party and princess dress up with his girls along with sports such as volleyball and hockey (Ken and Ann's favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins, leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs 2nd in his hockey life).

Ken is passionate about sharing the gospel with the broken and hurting and his life verse is from Exodus 3:14 – “I AM who I AM".

Ken has a Bachelor of Religious Education from Tyndale College and a Master of Divinity from Tyndale Seminary.


Rev. Dr. Wayne Baxter

Rev. Baxter previously served at Christian & Missionary Alliance churches in Windsor and Ottawa. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on the shepherd metaphor in the Gospel of Matthew, and he has taught part-time at McMaster University (The Bible as Literature), Wilfrid Laurier University (Introduction to the New Testament, Jesus of Nazareth, Paul of Tarsus), and King’s University College (Introduction to the Hebrew Scriptures, Wisdom Literature). As the Pastor of English Adult Ministry at MCBC, he oversees LIFE, Petros, and Barnabas Fellowships, as well as the English worship service and the Life Long Learning (CE) ministry

Pastor Wayne and his wife Lucille have three boys: Ethan, Micah, and Jared.
